A Visionary Curator with a Global Perspective
Despina Gianopulos Landers is a dynamic curator and visionary with over 25 years of experience across media, marketing, and creative ventures. Fluent in French and Greek, Despina’s multicultural background and global perspective have shaped her ability to connect people, ideas, and experiences in beautifully transformative ways.
Despina’s professional journey began in magazine publishing where she worked with iconic global brands like Vanity Fair, Allure, Details, and InStyle, managing marketing, events, and sponsorships that set new standards for creativity and collaboration. She later served as Vice President of Promotion for E! Networks, leading integrated campaigns and branding initiatives for prestigious events such as the Golden Globes, Oscars, Cannes Film Festival, and New York Fashion Week.
A Life Rooted in Creativity And International Culture
Despina’s Greek upbringing instilled in her a deep appreciation for food, hospitality, and culture - values that would later find another expression through her connection to France. Despina studied at L’Université de Paris - La Sorbonne, where she fell in love with the French language and French culture. Years later, that same appreciation became something she shared with her family. Together with her husband, she introduced their daughter, Sophia, to the international perspective, enrolling her at the prestigious Le Lycée Français de Los Angeles, where she too grew up multilingual and deeply immersed in French culture. Today, France continues to inspire Despina’s work, drawing upon its art, design, and timeless sense of beauty.
At Le Lycée, Despina found another way to bring people together. Spearheading the creation of its first parent organization, the Parent Planning Committee, Despina built a foundation for connection. This initiative introduced strategic programs, special events, community service efforts, fundraising platforms, and communication tools across multiple campuses.
